This is the same "anomaly", what I call the ' Sun Light Show', that I was able to catch last year! Same webcam - WAMO DC USA, time of year, time of day and, same, WIERD EFFECT. It's NOT ON the camera lens, or its' cover either! You can actually see the water ripple in the reflections because, the conditions WERE IDEAL! (NO clouds detectable and, NO WIND whatsoever! The water was reflecting like a mirror.)
Like the title says, "among the dullness", this just seemed like an un-eventful, late Thursday afternoon, end the workday ritual for these DC'rs. making their way around the capitol. The water has a WHOLE, OTHER story to tell, and in 2 CHAPTERS.
This is a 4X time-lapse video of what was recorded from the WAMO Cam, from 4:01-4:26 pm Oct. 12, 2023. There are SO MANY THINGS GOING ON HERE in that time frame that I am just beginning to wrap my head around just 2 of them!
